Committee Chairman Nikita Poturaev emphasized that the adoption of this law will be one of the fatal decisions for the development of Independent Ukraine.
The Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy revised the conclusion to the draft Law on amendments to some laws of Ukraine on the activities of religious organizations in Ukraine for a register. No. 8371, which makes it impossible for religious organizations with connections to the Russian Federation to operate in Ukraine. The press service of the Verkhovna Rada reported this on Thursday, July 18.
In the second, the editions of some standards of the document were expanded, in particular, Article 3 now states:
“Since the Russian Orthodox Church is an ideological continuation of the regime of the aggressor state, an accomplice in war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in the name of the Russian Federation and the ideology of the “Russian world,” the activities of The Russian Orthodox Church is banned in Ukraine.”
In this regard, Committee Chairman Nikita Poturaev emphasized that the adoption of this law will be one of the fatal decisions for the development of Independent Ukraine.
Let’s remember that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP) should be completely banned in Ukraine, according to the majority of Ukrainians. This was confirmed by a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
