Two prosecutors from a department of the Attorney General’s Office were exposed for accepting bribes. This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday, July 16.
“On July 15, under the leadership of the SAPO prosecutor’s procedure, NABU detectives exposed the prosecutors of the General Prosecutor’s Office for receiving 170 thousand US dollars of illegal benefits,” the report said.
Currently, one of the prosecutors is in jail. He was charged on suspicion under the article of accepting a bribe on a particularly large scale or by an official holding a particularly responsible position (Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The issue of announcing the suspicion to all exposed persons and choosing preventive measures is decided.
