The subject of Defense of Ukraine was introduced into the school curriculum instead of pre-conscription training for young men.
The Cabinet of Ministers will allocate 1.65 billion hryvnias for the purchase of modern equipment for the updated school course Defense of Ukraine. This was announced on Monday, July 15, by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology, Mikhail Fedorov.
“Ukraine’s defense education cells will be created in cities One is for 5 to 10 schools or for a community that a well-equipped means that children from different schools will have equal access to high-quality equipment and comfortable premises,” explained Fedorov.
He noted that equipment for the cells will be purchased through the Prozorro Market.
“We are talking about interactive laser shooting simulators, drone control simulators (they include drones, interactive glasses, remote control and other equipment), training shooting ranges and mock-ups, first aid kits and simulator for cardiac resuscitation, a defibrillator simulator, tourniquets, etc. detailed Deputy Prime Minister.
Fedorov explained that in the conditions of technological war, children should be able to work with such equipment from school, because it is the basis for a safe future. At the same time, teachers are trained to teach the Defense of Ukraine course.
This year, the government allocated UAH 2.5 billion to create safe conditions in schools in the country.
