Polish border police temporarily arrested a suspect in the illegal transportation of a Ukrainian.
A joint patrol of the German and Polish border police detained a Ukrainian citizen with an Estonian residence permit, who tried to smuggle eight Afghan citizens into Germany in his car with Estonian license plates. The German police reported this on Monday, July 15.
It is indicated that law enforcement officials detained a Ukrainian in the Polish border town of Slubice.
“The car was driven by a 40-year-old man, who gave the police a Ukrainian citizen’s passport and an Estonian residence permit,” law enforcement officials said.
The detained Afghans are said to be between 19 and 52 years old. None of them have documents that would allow them to stay in Germany.
