Spain has begun transferring a new batch of military aid to Ukraine, including ten Leopard 2A4 tanks, several excavators and a large number of anti-tank missiles. This was reported by the press service of the Spanish Ministry of Defense on Monday, July 15.
“The multimodal transport to Ukraine of 10 Leopard 2A4 battle tanks has already begun, undergoing the process of repair, adjustment and readiness at the Santa Bárbara Sistemas plant in Alcalá de Guadaira, as well as the relevant tests to verify their full functionality,” the statement said.
The new aid shipment is expected to arrive in Poland this weekend, after which the tanks will be handed over to the Ukrainian military.

The country also plans to prepare or transfer another batch of these tanks in the second half of 2024.
