He will be held in custody until bail is posted. This decision was made by the Kropyvnytskyi Court of Appeal, a correspondent for the Public reported from the courtroom.
According to Chervinsky’s lawyer Konstantin Globa, 27 people’s deputies and 51 individuals separately expressed a desire to bail Chervinsky out.
Chervinsky is a former acting commander of one of the units of the Special Operations Forces.
In April 2023, he was declared a suspect for actions that allegedly led to casualties and the destruction of equipment after the shelling of the Kanatovo airfield in the Kirovograd region. The serviceman is accused of violating Part 5 of Article 426-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – abuse of power or official authority by a military official.
Chervinsky was released on bail on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the MH-17 tragedy, shot down by a Russian Buk. The scumbag Tsemakh, whom Roman and his colleagues took out of occupied Donetsk as an important witness in the case of Russian crimes, was also involved in the tragedy.
But Tsemakh was not tried; he was given to Moscow in exchange for Ukrainian prisoners.
