The spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmitry Pletenchuk, spoke about this on the national telethon.
He notes that the Kalibr missiles remain a dangerous weapon with a 450 kg warhead, but the percentage of these missiles being shot down is high. As an independent type of weapon – in the case of attacks by the Kalibr missiles themselves – their effectiveness is usually not very high.
The Russians draw a conclusion from this – in their latest projects, they are already making the mines unified – for launching both “calibers” and “onyxes”. Because “Onyx” is a more dangerous weapon compared to “Caliber”, – noted Pletenchuk.
However, he noted, in the Azov and Black Seas there are no ships of such designs capable of launching missiles of both types.
