The ammunition will be provided as part of the Czech initiative to buy shells with donations from allies, the Czech President said.

Czech President Petr Pavel said that his country will send 50 thousand ammunition to Ukraine in July and August, and from September it will transfer from 80 thousand to 100 thousand ammunition per month. This was reported by the Czech broadcaster ČTK.

It is reported that the ammunition will arrive as part of a Czech initiative to buy shells with donations from allies.

At the end of June, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala announced that Ukraine had received the first batch of ammunition (50 thousand) purchased as part of this initiative.

The Czech Republic will allocate approximately €35 million for ammunition for Ukraine
