A Sukhoi Superjet 100 passenger plane crashed in the Moscow region reported by Russian Telegram channels on Friday, July 12.
It is indicated that the plane crashed between the villages of Apraskino and Maloye Karasevo near the city of Kolomna.
“According to preliminary information, a plane numbered RA-89049 of Gazprom Avia crashed. It was flying from Lukhovitsa plant to Vnukovo airport,” the report said.
Only the pilots and navigators were said to be on board.
According to eyewitnesses, the plane first fell and disappeared behind the trees, then black smoke came out. Then a helicopter arrived and hovered over the fire area.
Later, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed the crash of the plane in the Moscow region. Before crashing, the Sukhoi Superjet 100 was in the air for more than an hour. He gave a distress signal.
In connection with the plane crash, a criminal case was opened under the article on violation of the rules for traffic safety and operation of air transport (Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
It is known that the plane took off for the first time on December 16, 2014. Since December 14, 2015, it has been in service with Gazprom-Avia.
