The sound of “Ser Artista”, produced by Zé Nigro, is a fusion of influences from Fitti’s childhood and the culture of the Northeast, with references from artists such as Cátia de França, Zé Ramalho and Alceu Valença. The track includes the presence of the viola, recorded by Hugo Linns, the accordion and country harmony, essential elements in Fitti’s sound construction, and which are in evidence in the first track of his album.
“Meu Ser is a trans, non-binary artist, from the Northeast and Pernambuco. The references come from within, from my childhood, from my land in the Northeast. I felt it would be very important to highlight this in the first track of my first album,” highlights Fitti.
The album “Transespacial”, which includes “Ser Artista”, shows the plurality present in Fitti’s mind. With influences from reggae, forró, rock, pop and other aspects of Brazilian music, each track has its own special flavor, reflecting Fitti’s plural and genderless identity.
