About two dozen ambulances and a medical helicopter arrived at the mine to quickly receive victims if necessary.
In one of the oldest Polish mines in Silesia, after a strong shock, a group of miners collapsed, one of them was seriously injured, writes RMF24.
It was reported that the shock occurred in the early morning of Thursday, July 11, in a mine near the town of Ridulotovy at a depth of 1,200 meters.
At that moment, several dozen miners were underground, 15 people managed to climb to the surface, one miner needed hospital.
PAP reports: The Polish Mining Group confirmed that 68 people were in the danger zone at the time of the earthquake, but said there were no signs of a mine collapse.
Many miners remain underground and rescue operations are ongoing. About two dozen ambulances and a medical helicopter arrived at the mine to quickly receive victims if necessary.
“Some of these people have been recovered, some are being dug out, some have not yet been reached by rescue teams,” said a spokesman for the mining group.
Let’s add that this mine is one of the oldest in Upper Silesia which has been mined here since the end of the 18th century.
We remind you that in the spring, due to an attack by the Russian Federation in the Dnepropetrovsk region, more than 1000 people were blocked in the mine.
This winter, there was a mine collapse in Turkey.
