Hourly outages are currently ongoing. This is due to the heat and the consequences of total enemy shelling from Russia. The situation may improve in almost two weeks. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal at a government meeting on July 9.
At the same time, we expect the situation to improve in the twenties of July. Repair work will be completed at some generating facilities, which will increase the capacity of the energy system. Thus, the outages will not be so long, he noted.
Shmyhal also noted that the situation in the Ukrainian energy sector remains extremely difficult.
As is known, since the end of June, power outages in Ukraine have become longer due to the heat and repairs at nuclear power plants.
And on July 8, Ukrenergo decided to abandon measurements of the actual consumption level due to a significant power deficit in the energy system and increased consumption due to the heat. Previously, energy workers planned that from July 9 to 24 there would be one day without outages in each region.
Let us recall that Ukrenergo stated that on July 9, from 16:00 to 19:00, three stages of shutdowns will be in effect. And in the evening hours and until the end of the day, the volume of restrictions will be reduced due to emergency supplies from the European Union.
