The large-scale fire began on July 7 after a drone attack. Local authorities said that all UAVs were allegedly shot down, however, due to falling debris, “an outbuilding caught fire.” A state of emergency was declared in the region. This was reported by the Russian service of Radio Liberty.
Let us recall that on the night of July 7, explosions thundered in the Voronezh region, followed by a fire. The fire was accompanied by explosions because the UAVs hit a warehouse with ammunition.
It was later revealed that the ammunition depot was blown up into the air by drones of the Security Service of Ukraine. At the ammunition depot in the town of Sergeyevka, the Russians stored surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missiles, shells for tanks and artillery, as well as boxes of ammunition for firearms. The area of the damaged arsenal was 9 thousand square meters.
