The wife of the President of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, reported this on her Telegram channel.
According to Zelenskaya, this course is an adaptation of the American Well-Being course to Ukrainian realities within the framework of the all-Ukrainian mental health program “How Are You?” It will reveal the most important knowledge and skills without which a happy, meaningful, fruitful life is impossible. In particular, it will discuss:
- ability to build relationships with people;
- creativity and the ability to be the creator of your own life;
- “Human studies” – about understanding what it means to be human;
- the ability to love, empathize, live with dignity and be free;
- wisdom and how to grow in it, the ability to make sense of life and experience;
- values and how important it is to know the meaning of life;
- emotional competence – the importance of empathy, emotional intelligence, to understand the emotional needs and feelings of both your own and those around you;
- mental health, understanding how to take care of it.
We live in a time when such skills are no less important than knowledge of mathematics or biology, Zelenskaya emphasized. – Especially the skills of caring for mental health – that is why domestic specialists are adapting the course to Ukrainian realities, because they, unfortunately, are now radically different for our children.
