Odessa was visited by the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands Caspar Veldkamp, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Ruben Brekelmans, as well as the new British Minister of Defense John Healey. President Vladimir Zelensky announced this in a video message on Sunday, July 7.
The head of state informed the ministers about the situation on the battlefield. The President also stated that during the meeting they heard a report from the Navy commander, Alexei Neizhpapa.
“We will continue to strengthen the Ukrainian fleet with Britain, with the Netherlands – there are good new details of our cooperation,” Zelensky stressed.
The President also said that he, together with the ministers of the Netherlands and Britain, discussed strengthening the Ukrainian air defense.
“This is our absolute priority, and I appreciate the willingness to take the next steps – especially with the F-16,” Zelensky said.
We would like to remind you that earlier the Netherlands announced the completion of the authorization to export 24 F-16 fighters to Ukraine.
