At the next summit, practical cooperation will be developed within the framework of “flagship projects” for Ukraine.
At the upcoming NATO summit in Washington on July 9-11, the Allnsu countries plan to discuss a joint project with South Korea to help Ukraine. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced this on Saturday, July 6, UNIAN reports.
According to him, the next summit will develop practical cooperation within the framework of “flagship projects” related to Ukraine, as well as cyberspace and new technologies.
“The flagship project is partly about the medical education of Ukrainian soldiers,” he said, adding that NATO is also exploring opportunities to expand intelligence sharing with South Korea.
NATO also intends to discuss defense industry cooperation with South Korea.
The NATO Secretary General emphasized that inviting countries such as South Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand to the summit will help expand the Alliance’s partnership with the countries of the Indo-Pacific region.
“Iran and North Korea are fomenting war on Russia with drones and missiles. China is supporting Russia’s war economy, supplying microelectronics and other dual-use goods for Russian war. The closer the authoritarian players in each other, it is more important that we work more closely with our friends in the Indo-Pacific region,” he said.
Earlier, the Secretary General of NATO said that the North Atlantic Alliance is very concerned that Russia is helping North Korea develop missile and nuclear programs in exchange for support.
