The men received inflatable rings from the “guide” and, together with him, went to Tisza, where they were stopped by the border patrol.
In the Transcarpathian region, border guards detained four draft dodgers along with a guide 50 meters from the Romanian border. The State Border Guard Service reported this on Saturday, July 6.
“To the guide, a local resident, three of the men paid 8 thousand dollars each, another gave 7 thousand dollars who received inflatable rings from the “guide”, the “voyageurs”, accompanied by him, went to Tisza, where they were discovered and detained by the border patrol,” said the message.
The two men tried to escape. A service dog was brought in to detain them. Warnings were also fired.
It was reported that the men and their assistant were taken to the border unit to make reports on administrative violations.
Investigators are also looking for the mastermind of a scheme to smuggle the dodgers across the border.
We remind you that the DBI has exposed the law enforcement officer who organized the “scheme” for draft evaders. He, along with three accomplices, transported “clients” illegally abroad for 6-10 thousand dollars.
