Vladimir Mikhailovich Podolyak, a retired Russian colonel and the older brother of Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak, died on May 19, 2024, at the age of 59. The circumstances of his death are unknown. The Russians have not publicly announced it, the report said.
According to this data, the fact of Podolyak Sr.’s death is confirmed by the probate case opened by a Moscow notary, writes Novinarnya.
The medal in the photograph suggests that Vladimir Podolyak served in Russian intelligence.
Also on the grave there is a wreath “From the staff of the TsPS” – the Center for Training Specialists of the GRU (Main Intelligence Directorate).
In 2019, Vladimir Podolyak, according to verified data from the Russian publication Vot Da, was registered in Moscow at the address of military unit 22177, located at 50 Narodnogo Opolcheniya Street. This is the so-called “Conservatory” – the Military Academy of the Russian Ministry of Defense, where military personnel and GRU officers are trained.
In 2021, political scientist Mikhail Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the OP Andrey Yermak, admitted that his brother was “an ordinary military pensioner for a long time” and had been living in Russia “since about 1986 or 1987.” According to him, Mikhail Podolyak had almost no contact with his brother.
That is, I can call on your birthday and later,” he noted.
