Downing Street’s Larry the Cat left the British Prime Minister a parting “gift”, which he joked about in X:

Just for old times’ sake I left shit in Sunak’s boot.
Larry has been the chief mouser at the residence of the British Prime Minister since 2011. Since the residence is located in an old house, mice and rats are a constant problem there. Since 2011, Larry has been running an X (Twitter) account, where you can often see jokes about British prime ministers.
When Sunak’s predecessor Liz Trss left office, Larry addressed her:
The King asked me to become Prime Minister because this nonsense (Trass’ leadership) has gone on for too long.
One of the tweets read: “Cameron, May, Johnson. I’ve seen them all.”
Larry will see his sixth prime minister in office. Rakurs wrote that the Conservative Party led by Rishi Sunak lost the parliamentary elections to the Labour Party – Sunak is resigning. The new prime minister will be Keir Starmer.
In October 2022, the UK’s top cat bravely chased a fox away from Liz Truss’s residence. Sky News released a video showing the fox was twice the size of the cat, and he tried to approach the British Prime Minister’s residence, but Larry kept his cool and chased the red attacker into the bushes.
Larry came to the position of chief mouser at Downing Street from a safe house during David Cameron’s premiership in 2011. He is the third cat in the history of the residence to officially take up this post and has become a favourite throughout Great Britain.
