The government order is the next step in building transparency and increasing the efficiency of drone procurement.
The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution authorizing the purchase of domestically produced drones through the closed operation of Prozorro. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov on Telegram on Thursday, July 4.
“The state will be able to buy Ukrainian-made drones through the closed operation of Prozorro – the government has adopted a logical step in creating transparency and increasing the efficiency of drone procurement, and thanks to the competition, the state will be able to buy of drones more profitably,” he wrote.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that all sensitive information will be closed to the general public and cannot be accessed by the enemy.
Let’s remember that in February the government allowed for the first time the mass purchase of drones through Prozorro. Then we talk about devices from foreign manufacturers – Mavic, Autel and Matric.
As reported, Ukraine is developing long-range attack drones, which are used to strike Russian strategic targets at a distance of more than 1,000 km.
