Russia’s Investigative Committee confirmed that among the three new defendants in this case, a boy is in the eighth grade.
Three new accused appeared in the case of the so-called “preparation of the murder” of Margarita Simonyan and Ksenia Sobchak. One of them is eighth-grade student Pavel R. Two others detained are communications college student Andrei D. and installer Sergei K. This was reported by Sobchak’s Telegram channel called Cautionary note with reference to the Investigative Committee.
The three are suspected of “preparing for a terrorist attack.” They were detained on May 7, and then chose a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions.
The Investigative Committee linked the detention of the suspects to the activities of a neo-Nazi group Paragraph 88whose participants were accused of “preparing an assassination attempt” on Simonyan and Sobchak, allegedly “on instructions from the Security Service of Ukraine.”
In particular, six people were arrested in Russia in connection with this case in July last year. According to the FSB, a Kalashnikov assault rifle, ammunition, bladed weapons, Nazi symbols, literature, as well as communication equipment and computers with information “confirming criminal intentions” were confiscated from to the suspects.
In the organization Paragraph 88 They deny preparing for attacks on the lives of Russian “journalists”.
The office of the President of Ukraine, commenting on the incident, said that the Ukrainian special services were not involved in a possible “attempt” on Russian women.
Let’s recall that last year Russian special services warned about “attempts” on the well-known propagandist, editor-in-chief of RT television channel Margarita Simonyan and TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak.
