On Tuesday, July 2, the Ukrainian president held a meeting with the Hungarian prime minister. Their joint photo was published by the head of the Zakarpattia regional military administration, Viktor Nikita, who arrived in Kyiv today. This photo was subsequently removed from social networks.
Details of the meeting are not yet known.
Recall that on July 2, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit. His representative told journalists that the main topics of the meeting would be “achievements in peace” in Ukraine and Hungarian-Ukrainian relations.
Viktor Orban last visited Ukraine 12 years ago. In 2012, he met with then-President Viktor Yanukovych in Kyiv. After that, the Hungarian Prime Minister did not visit Ukraine either during the term of Volodymyr Zelensky or under the previous President Petro Poroshenko.
