The average cash dollar selling rate increased to 40.90 hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate increased to 44.10 hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate continues to decline against the dollar and euro on the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Tuesday, July 2.
The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased by another 5 kopecks to 40.90 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate increased by 10 kopecks to 44.10 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 40.40 UAH, and euros for 43.40 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 40.68-40.70 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 1 kopeck compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank sharply increased the exchange rate of the dollar against the Hryvnia – 40.6413 UAH (+0.1871 UAH). The euro exchange rate on Tuesday was 43.6853 UAH (+0.4195 UAH).
Let’s recall that in June the NBU slightly reduced interventions to support the Hryvnia and sold $2.986 billion in the interbank market. This is 2.8% less than in May ($3.072 billion). Since the beginning of the year, the regulator has sold $14.170 billion.
Earlier, the National Bank named the reasons for the growth of the dollar. At the same time, the regulator ensures that the situation in the foreign exchange market of Ukraine remains under control.
