Kazakh opposition figure Aidos Sadykov, who was the subject of an assassination attempt in Kyiv, died in hospital.

Doctors fought for Sadykov’s life for 13 days, but “there was no miracle,” his wife Natalya Sadykova reported on Facebook.
Aidos Sadykov left us today at 3:00 Kyiv time. My dear husband, the father of our three children, a great son of the Kazakh people. Aidos gave his life for Kazakhstan, accepted a martyr’s death at the hands of killers. Aidos fought for life in intensive care for thirteen days, but no miracle happened, – the message says.
She also believes that Sadykov’s murder is on the conscience of Kazakhstan’s President Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev.
As is known, Aidos Sadykov left for Ukraine in 2014 and received political asylum. He founded the YouTube channel “BASE”, which has more than a million subscribers. The last video on this channel, titled “The President of Kazakhstan has become a puppet of Russian agents of influence”, was published on the morning of June 18.
Let us recall that on June 18, shots were heard on Viktor Yarmola Street in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv. It was reported that an unknown person approached a car parked on the street in which a husband and wife were sitting and fired. The woman was not injured.
