In the morning of July 1, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Anatoliy Bargilevich reported to the president. They spoke about the situation in the Pokrovsk direction, as well as the situation in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions. Zelensky said this in his evening address.
The head of state added that during the meeting they discussed fundamental decisions – steps that will force the occupiers to lose more logistics and equipment.
For Russia, all of this must end in defeat, and this is the only way the very idea of war against Ukraine will fail, Zelensky noted.
The President also added that in order to defeat the aggressor country, work is being done not only at the front, but also in the diplomatic sphere.
In addition, Zelensky said that Ukraine could strengthen its air defense during July. Negotiations with partners are currently underway.
Recall that on June 17, President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, which focused on the production of drones. The head of state said that Ukraine is leading technological progress in this area.
