NATO members and partner countries are conducting naval exercises off the coast of Scotland in support of the Ukrainian fleet. The Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Sunday, June 30.
“As a sign of international solidarity and commitment to support the Ukrainian fleet, NATO members, together with partner countries, are taking part in joint exercises off the coast of Scotland maritime navigation safety and global food and trade security, ” they said to the Ukrainian Navy.
The exercise is conducted jointly by the European-African Naval Forces. The US Sixth Fleet and the Ukrainian fleet, deployed by the British Royal Navy.
Representatives from Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Japan, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Ukraine, United States of America and Great Britain are taking part in them. Some of them joined as observers or instructors.
Earlier it was reported that NATO and EU representatives discussed the experience of the basic training of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukrainian military personnel noted the changes that must be improved and implemented so that the program meets all the requirements of combat operations in Ukraine.
