The range of these UAVs today reaches 1,300 km. However, these drones will not be able to replace missiles, because their power is much less. President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in an interview with Truda Rubin.
That is, today 1 thousand 200 km, there are more than 1 thousand 300 km. But we must understand that this is a drone. And its power is much less than missiles. The Russians also have “Shaheds”, and we have learned to shoot them down and we shoot down most of them. And today we do not waste missiles against drones. We have learned how to fight this. The same is true for the Russians. They are suffering from our drone attacks today, but they are still learning, – the head of state noted.
The Ukrainian leader noted that it is impossible to compare the power of a drone strike with the power of a missile strike. Also, these weapons have different speeds.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is developing its missile industry. The President expressed confidence that there will be development and success in this direction.
Let us recall that on June 30, Ukroboronprom CEO German Smetanin said that Ukraine had developed and launched its own long-range attack drones into serial production in a relatively short period of time. These UAVs are currently striking enemy strategic targets at a distance of over 1,000 km.
