One of the richest people on the planet, the Chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffett, said that after his death, almost all of his money and assets will go to a new charitable foundation, which will be managed by his daughter and two sons. The Wall Street Journal reported this.
Buffett also signaled an end to his donations to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to which he has donated billions.
The Gates Foundation, one of the largest in the world, is known for its work in the field of health, as well as the fight against poverty and gender equality. From 2006 to 2023, Buffett donated $39.3 billion to the fund.
With the latest round of charitable contributions announced on June 28, Buffett still owns nearly $130 billion of his company’s stock.
His three children must jointly decide what charitable purposes the money will be used for.

Peter Buffett, 66, a music composer, and his wife Jennifer Buffett lead the NoVo Foundation, whose projects include working with indigenous communities.
