The Ukrainian president said he has a “very clear way of how to do it.” The plan should be ready for the second Peace Summit.
In a few months, Ukraine, together with its partners, will develop an action plan based on the results of the peace summit in Switzerland, which will pressure Russia into peace. President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on Thursday, June 27, at a joint press conference with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel.
“We have a very clear path on how to do this. And we invited all the leaders to come to the first summit. It is very difficult to gather such a large number of countries from different continents. Now we have to do the next that step. The next steps are to plan and have a detailed plan for each crisis that Putin has brought to our land,” Zelensky said.
He added that a plan to end the war should be on the table for the second Peace Summit.
“We don’t have much time because we have many wounded and dead on the battlefield and in the civilian population. So we don’t want this war to continue for many years. So we want to prepare this general plan and put it on the table for the Second Peace summit, ” said the president.
Zelensky has previously said that the second Peace Summit will take place in months, not years.
Let’s recall that in his opening speech at the meeting of the European Council in Brussels, Zelensky emphasized that the sanctions against the oligarchs of the Russian Federation should not be removed, but strengthened.
