Three cyclists of the Ukrainian national team were injured as a result of an accident in the Lviv region. The regional department of the National Police reported this on Thursday, June 27.
It is indicated that the accident occurred on June 26 at about 12:50 near the village of Solonskoye, Drohobych district on the Pesochnaya-Skhidnytsia highway.
“The driver of the Peugeot-407 collided with a 17-year-old cyclist from Kyiv region, who collided with two other cyclists – 17-year-old residents of Kyiv and Nikolaev regions,” said report.
As a result of the collision, all the girls were injured. They were sent to the hospital.
All female cyclists are members of the Ukrainian national team. They are doing team training.
The police opened criminal proceedings on the fact of an accident for violation of road safety rules (Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
