An enemy FPV drone was hit by a Bushmaster cannon. The Ukrainian military notes that this is a unique case. The Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on June 26 in Telegram.
A unique case! The crew of the Bradley infantry fighting vehicle shot down an enemy FPV drone with a Bushmaster cannon, the report says.
Journalist Yuri Butusov reported in Telegram that these were servicemen of the 3rd mechanized battalion of the 47th Mechanized Infantry Brigade, who skillfully acted proactively in the Pokrovsky direction and prevented the Russian FPV drone from hitting Bradley.
As you know, the Bradley infantry fighting vehicle is the main infantry fighting vehicle in service with the mechanized forces of the US Army. This equipment entered service in 1981 and was named in honor of the legendary American general of the Second World War, Omar Bradley. Bradley has proven itself very well, in particular in Ukraine in combat with Russian armored vehicles.
As for the Bushmaster cannon, it is a naval artillery mount, an automatic cannon of 25 mm caliber. It was developed by American gunsmiths based on the M242 Bushmaster army cannon.
Let us recall that the American publication The Washington Post reported that Ukraine is using American military equipment in a “unique” way. In particular, we were talking about Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.
