The implementation of the plans announced by the President is quite possible, and the corresponding work program is already being implemented. It is possible to implement this plan. Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Nikolai Kolesnik stated this on June 26 in a commentary to Public.
To date, there are already installed corresponding facilities in certain areas. Our forecast of up to 1 GW of installed capacity is realistic, confirmed by clear, specific projects,” the official noted.
According to Kolesnik, some of these facilities are already at the stage of connection to the energy system, and some are at the construction stage. The program is being implemented comprehensively, so such facilities will appear in virtually every region.
The deputy minister added that as of today, there are already several dozen MW – they have been installed. Another several hundred MW are in the process of being connected, which is planned according to the schedule.
Let us recall that on June 11, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said that Ukraine intends to build gas maneuverable generation facilities with a total capacity of up to 1 GW by the end of this year. Another four GW are planned to be built in the coming years.
