Advisor to the Mayor of Mariupol Pyotr Andryushchenko announced this in his Telegram channel, publishing a photo accordingly.
He noted that opposite the tanker’s moorings there are large tanks damaged during the battles for Mariupol. However, they are now in a state of repair and have been repainted.
Taking into account the mooring location and the immediate vicinity, we believe that the fuel is stored here. For what needs? Well, here even the Navy representative agreed that it was clearly not for civilian shipping,” Andryushchenko emphasized.
The last time a Russian tanker entered Mariupol was on June 22. It is not known exactly for what purpose they enter the port. According to one of the versions expressed earlier by Andryushchenko, at night fuel can be transferred to another ship for the purpose of subsequent refueling of Kalibr cruise missile carriers in the Sea of Azov.
