The Prosecutor General reported suspicion to the parliamentarian for the unlawful deprivation of liberty of a person – Part 2 of Art. 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A petition for the election of a people’s deputy as a preventive measure in the form of 24-hour house arrest has already been agreed upon. The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this on June 25.
The investigation established that a group of people, being in Dnepr on June 20, acting on the instructions of Tishchenko and in prior agreement among themselves, using physical force and special means, unlawfully deprived of liberty a former serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, they caused bodily harm to the victim and illegally detained him for a certain time.
Law enforcement officers also reported suspicion to another person who actively participated in illegal actions, under Part 2 of Art. 127 (use of torture “for the purpose of discrimination”) and Part 2 of Art. 146 (illegal deprivation of liberty or kidnapping) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Efforts are currently ongoing to identify other persons involved in the crime. The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the DBI.
The State Bureau of Investigation also conducted searches of Tishchenko.
Let us remind you that on June 20, in the center of Dnieper, people in uniform attacked volunteer Dmitry “Son” Pavlov while he was walking with a child. It was stated that this was the security of deputy Nikolai Tishchenko, who had a verbal conflict with Pavlov.
After the incident, the head of the Presidential Office, Andrei Ermak, said that he does not maintain relations with Tishchenko and does not accept his actions.
