The corresponding Russian stop list includes representatives of EU countries and employees of European Union institutions.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to the 14th package of sanctions of the European Union, announced the expansion of the list of people prohibited from entering the Russian Federation. This was stated in a statement by the Russian department on Monday, June 24.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that in response to “unfriendly measures” it expanded the list of representatives of European institutions and EU member states who are prohibited from entering Russian territory.
The department did not provide a complete list, but noted that it includes representatives of EU countries and employees of European Union institutions that promote military aid to Ukraine and “prosecute Russian officials” for the violation in international law.
“The Russian corresponding stop list also includes representatives of the Council of Europe, members of the legislative assemblies of European Union countries and national delegations to PACE, who systematically “stamp” aggressive statements against the Russian Federation,” said Russian Foreign Ministry.
We remind you that today the EU Council approved the 14th package of economic and individual restrictive measures against Russia. The new package includes restrictive measures against 116 individuals and legal entities.
The 14th package of EU sanctions has been prepared since April. New EU sanctions against Russia were approved, but then Germany vetoed them. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz later explained the delay in sanctions against the Russian Federation.
