Schwesig’s visit to Kyiv shows the solidarity of the German government and all federal states in Ukraine, Shmygal said.
Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, at a meeting on June 24 in Kyiv with the President of the German Bundesrat Manuela Schwesig, expressed gratitude to Germany for its support and significant contribution to the strengthening of Ukraine. He reported it to Telegram.
According to Shmygal, Schwesig’s visit to Kyiv shows the unity of the German government and all federal states in Ukraine.
“Our states have a high level of cooperation, including at the community and regional level 210 municipal partnerships and 7 interregional we have already decided to continue working in this direction, because it contributes on the restoration and development of Ukrainian urban communities,” said the prime minister.
He thanked Germany for organizing the Conference on Reconstruction, which resulted in the signing of more than 100 agreements totaling 16 billion euros, for its patronage of the restoration of the Chernihiv region and assistance in the energy sector.
“We appreciate the willingness of German businesses to provide the necessary equipment. We discussed the decentralization of the Ukrainian energy system and investments in the development of renewable energy,” said Shmihal.
He also thanked for the provision of Patriot systems and missiles for them.
We remind you that the Prime Minister of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Manuela Schwesig, who heads the German Bundesrat, arrived in Kyiv on Monday, June 24, for negotiations with the political leadership of Ukraine.
As reported, Germany transferred a large package of military aid to Ukraine. It includes HIMARS rocket systems for the first time.
Earlier it was said that Germany, along with other allies, will transfer 100 missiles for Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine.
