Ukraine’s largest bronze monument to Vladimir Lenin will be auctioned off in Zaporozhye. The funds received will be directed to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The starting price is about 10.5 million UAH. Secretary of the Zaporozhye City Council and acting mayor Regina Kharchenko reported this on her Telegram channel.
We are converting the mission of the former “Marxist theorist” into resources to help our Defenders and Defenders who are right now protecting us from the followers of the Soviet regime,” she noted.
This twenty-meter monument was dismantled in 2016 and since then has been stored outside behind barbed wire on the territory of one of the utility companies.
The Prozorro website contains a page for the upcoming auction, which is scheduled to take place on July 12.
The weight of the sculpture by V.I. Lenin is 12,310 kg, the total weight of high relief sculptures is 7,510.0 kg, capital letters (“LENIN”) 24.36 kg, lowercase (“Communism is Soviet power plus electrification of the entire country”) — 34.74 kg, notes the lot description.
