In the south of France, in the Gironde department, more than 100 thousand consumers were left without electricity and train services were suspended due to a network problem, AFP reports.

Due to this incident, approximately 120 thousand consumers in the areas around Bordeaux were left without electricity for more than two hours. In Bordeaux, the traffic lights went out and the trams stopped.
It also affected the movement of high-speed trains and electric trains in the region – flights were suspended until normal supplies were restored.
The operator reported that power was restored around 11 am. Long-distance trains that were supposed to leave or arrive in Bordeaux during the blackout arrived between 20 minutes and 2.5 hours late.
