The Estonian Martin Jaager, who fought in the ranks of the Ukrainian defense forces, died at the front in the Lugansk region, Estonian Posttimees reports, the European Pravda writes.
Martin Jaager died on June 22 near the village of Raigorodka near Svatov on the border of Kharkov and Lugansk regions. This is the third Estonian who died defending Ukraine. The publication said he fought in the ranks of the 3rd assault brigade.
The 42-year-old Jaager was a professional soldier in the Estonian army before the full war. He has been in the ranks of the elite unit for more than 10 years, and since 2013 he has participated in a mission in Afghanistan.
Jaager came to fight for Ukraine more than a year ago and during this time he served in a range of different units he joined the Third Sturmova about a month ago.
