A huge fire broke out in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, on Saturday, June 22. A 26-story residential building there is on fire, reports Tengrinews.
The fire gutted the building of the RixosKhanShatyrResidences residential complex. The residential complex is located in the central region of Astana.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reported that the outer covering of the apartments on the upper floors of the building caught fire.
At least 72 firefighters and 16 pieces of equipment are working at the scene of the fire. Rescuers partially evacuated people from the building.
The black smoke could be seen several kilometers away. Footage of the fire was posted on social media.
