Russian attackers began launching Kalibr-type missiles from the Azov Sea, Dmitry Pletenchuk said.
The Russian invaders began to use the waters of the Sea of Azov to deploy their ships and launch Kalibr-type missiles, as they considered it safer than the Black Sea. This was said by OK South speaker Dmitry Pletenchuk in a telethon, commenting on the Russian night air attack.
“Four missiles (of the Kalibr type – ed.) were fired from the Sea of Azov, and this is an important turning point because they use it, considering it a safer water area than the Black Sea, ” said the officer.
He mentioned that the Air Force shot all Calibers and added that the effectiveness of this type of missiles is not the same as at the beginning of a mass attack, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces know what to do with them.
“However, this fact is also not satisfactory, because they decided that they could use Azov, among other things, to deploy their ships and use them, but, of course, probably they forgot that Azov is also quite close to us,” emphasized the spokesperson.
According to him, the situation with the location of missile carriers remains unchanged: a submarine is located in the Black Sea, it can have up to four missiles on board.
Three launch vehicles are located in the Sea of Azov;
As is known, since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed 28 ships/boats and one submarine of the invaders.
