The Russians wanted to obtain information about the routes of tank trucks that transport fuel for the military equipment of the Defense Forces. To obtain data, the enemy recruited a 47-year-old unemployed resident of Zaporozhye. The traitor traveled around the territory of the regional center and its surroundings, where he recorded the geolocation of logistics warehouses. The SBU press center reported this on June 20.
The agent had to transmit all this data to the enemy intelligence service in the form of marks on Google maps with a detailed description of potential targets. The attacker was detained while he was conducting additional exploration near a critical infrastructure facility. Evidence of his collaboration with the enemy was discovered during searches.
The detainee was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 28, part 2 art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law by prior conspiracy by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces life imprisonment.
Let us remind you that the SBU thwarted an attempt by the Russian FSB to obtain current geolocations of relocated factories of the military-industrial complex of Zaporozhye. The enemy was interested in the coordinates of the workshops of PJSC Motor Sich and another machine-building plant, which produce components for the Ukrainian Armed Forces aviation.
