The suspect’s name has not been released, but it is understood his home was searched and he agreed to cooperate with police.
It will be remembered that the artist died at the end of last year. The cause of death was an overdose of ketamine, which he used to treat depression.
However, no illegal substances were found in his home, and a doctor treated him with ketamine a week and a half ago. Because the drug is rapidly metabolized, the ketamine could not have remained in his system after the procedure, much less causing his death.
Therefore, investigators suspect that Matthew received the fatal dose from someone else, which led them to the woman in question.
The woman the actor met at a rehabilitation center was shocked by the suspicion;
“It’s hard to say what his involvement was in Matthew’s death, but he maintains that he had nothing to do with what happened. He has hired lawyers and has met with law enforcement officials several times since they visited his home with carrying a search warrant. “She is silent about the situation but the investigators apparently know something, since they received a search warrant,” the insider said.
