In a year and a half of the war, the military commissar managed to register several cars and two apartments in the Dnieper territory in the name of his father.
In the Dnepropetrovsk region, the former regional military commissar, who acquired property worth 350 thousand dollars during martial law, will be tried. The former official faces up to 10 years in prison. The press service of the National Police reported this on Thursday, June 10.
It was established that within a year and a half of the entire Russian invasion of the territory of Ukraine, while in the position of the head of the regional TCC, the man acquired assets worth about 13.5 million hryvnias.
The military commissar managed to register several cars and two apartments in the Dnieper territory to his father. The official also registered a business in the name of a family member (individual entrepreneur) who acquired ownership of non-residential premises with a total area of about 500 square meters. m, however, no income reports from the specified business entity were received by the tax authorities.
The facts were established by the defendant declaring false information for the 2021 and 2022 reporting years totaling almost 4.3 million hryvnias. So, at one of the stages, the military commissar did not indicate in the annual declaration a gift to a close person from his relative in the amount of 65 thousand dollars, which is equivalent to 2.6 million hryvnias on the day of the conclusion of the agreement in donation.
In July 2023, the police seized documentation confirming the ownership of several movable and immovable properties.
As of now, the pre-trial investigation against the former military commissar has been completed, and the indictment has been sent to the district court. The former official faces up to 10 years in prison.
Let’s recall that in June of last year, Evgeniy Borisov was removed from the post of Odessa military commissar. This happened after a strong scandal: journalists discovered his family’s property worth millions of dollars in Spain. Real estate and luxury cars have been acquired during a massive war.
