The Cabinet of Ministers redirected 238.3 million hryvnias for the construction of military engineering and fortification structures in the Kharkov region. This was announced by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk on Telegram on Tuesday, June 18.
In particular, funds in the amount of 238 million 28.5 thousand hryvnias were directed to the Kharkov Regional State Administration for the construction of military engineering and fortification structures, fortification equipment for defense lines, and installation of a system of non-explosive barriers.
Previously, these funds were allocated from the reserve fund of the state budget to the military administrations of the Nikolaev and Rivne regions.
We remind you that on May 10, Russian troops launched an attack in the Kharkov region, crossing the Ukrainian border in two directions at once. A week later, the invaders captured up to ten settlements. Therefore, many questions arose about the construction of fortifications in the Kharkov region.
Kharkov OVA refused to provide information about enterprises that did not fulfill their contractual obligations to the administration for the construction of defensive fortifications in the region.
The Verkhovna Rada created a temporary commission of inquiry into the repair of fortifications and the purchase of drones in Ukraine.
