The press service of the State Emergency Service reported this today, June 18.
The month has not yet ended, and two weeks later, 79 people have already died in water bodies of Ukraine, 15 of them children, the department notes.
So, in Lutsk, an 18-year-old boy, while riding a paddleboard, fell into the water and disappeared.
The tragedy occurred last night on the Styr River. Divers examined 3 thousand square meters. m of the bottom water area, but the guy was not found until dusk, the State Emergency Service said.
This morning the search work continued, the river was searched using a special quadcopter.
The body of an 18-year-old boy was found and taken out of the water. A psychologist and a medic from the State Emergency Service worked at the scene of the incident, the department noted.
