The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported this on June 14.
The court prohibited and dissolved:
- International public organization “We are the people of Ukraine”;
- All-Ukrainian public organization “All-Ukrainian Hetman Cossacks named after Ivan Bohun”;
- “Cathedral Cossacks”;
- “Cathedral Cossacks” “Kharkov District”;
- Cathedral Cossacks “Baryshevskaya Stanitsa”;
- “Cathedral Cossacks” “Kyiv District”;
- “Cathedral Cossacks” “Lviv District”;
- “Cathedral Cossacks” “Sumy district”.
In total, 8 organizations were banned by the Ministry of Justice. According to investigators, they were supposed to participate in the coup at the time of the invasion of Russian troops in February 2022. Representatives of these organizations planned a “national meeting” in Kyiv, during which they wanted to issue an ultimatum to the authorities so that they would resign. In case of refusal, the combat groups were to seize key government institutions.
The SBU thwarted these plans in advance and detained three of the organizers. They have already received deadlines.
