As part of the 23rd meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov held meetings with Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen and Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren. The parties signed a memorandum on the purchase of weapons and equipment from Ukrainian manufacturers. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced this on Facebook on June 14.
This is a big step, since Denmark has become the first foreign NATO country that will invest its funds in the production of weapons on the territory of Ukraine, Umerov emphasized.
The Ukrainian defense ministry also reported that the Netherlands had agreed on intentions to cooperate with Ukraine to support the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex.
Let us remind you that US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, after the meeting of the Contact Group on Defense Issues of Ukraine held today on June 13, said that the countries of the Ramstein format are working in parallel to strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the future and today held a discussion on ways to expand the production of critical ammunition and weapon systems.
