Shiloh Jolie-Pitt filed to drop her Pitt surname three days after she turned 18.
Brad Pitt’s daughter Shiloh waited four years to get rid of her father’s last name. The Daily Mail reported this.
The girl filed documents to drop her last name of Pitt on Monday, May 30, three days after she turned 18. She hired and paid her own attorney to take her case.
As it happened, the reason was that he was barred from testifying in court about the alleged domestic violence that allegedly occurred in 2016.
“The main reason for the name change was a custody battle and Shiloh’s belief that her rights as a victim had been violated. Shiloh believed that she, as the victim of a crime, had the right to testify – and she was not allowed to so,” the insider said.
The source also said the girl has no plans to pursue any further legal action related to her father. It is not known if younger siblings Knox and Vivienne will follow in his footsteps when they turn 18 in July 2026.
It was previously reported that Brad Pitt was upset that his biological daughter Shiloh wanted to give up her last name.
