The head of the Ministry of Education and Science, Oksen Lesnoy, said on June 13 that “now, finally, everything will become much simpler: using a special table, convert, for example, a Polish grade of good to a Ukrainian grade of 8.
If the grading systems are different, for example in Germany, where 1 is the highest score, then we give the grade in favor of the student, that is, 12.
The list includes 25 countries, including the USA, Germany, and Poland. For the remaining cases, a separate general table was compiled.
Children can immediately list items that match our program. Other disciplines, such as the Ukrainian language, literature, history, will be studied using abbreviated programs and completed remotely.

Students can list grades in subjects common to both countries. They can study the remaining subjects (Ukrainian studies component) in accordance with modified (shortened) programs and be assessed remotely. It used to be possible for apprenticeships to have grades converted, but schools had no clear guidelines on how to transfer them.
How will the new system work? If, for example, a student received a grade of “good” (dobry) in mathematics in Poland, then according to the table we translate this result into a Ukrainian grade of “8” in mathematics or algebra / geometry.
If assessment models differ, the Ministry of Education and Science recommends grading in favor of the student. For example, if a student received a grade of “1” (excellent) in Germany, corresponding to the Ukrainian high level, the highest grade can be given – “12”.
Countries are presented in the table: Slovakia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Belgium, Finland, Turkey, Estonia, Israel, Ireland, Spain, USA, Latvia, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Romania, Norway, Canada, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, UK , the Netherlands, Hungary and France. Estimates obtained in other countries should be translated using a common table.
Students who simultaneously study at a school abroad and at an educational institution in Ukraine have the opportunity to make an annual assessment before the start of the next academic year with the results of their studies abroad being re-credited.
